Streamkeepers are people who take responsibility for the health of their streams and watersheds. By establishing regular and long-term stream monitoring, restoration, and community-wide environmental education activities, these volunteer citizen groups can “adopt” their own streams. The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation supports these local efforts and thereby provides the building blocks for an improved environment and sustained healthy wild fish production. Through Adopt-A-Stream workshops, publications and outreach, students of all ages and backgrounds can cultivate the tools and knowledge to work together to protect and restore streams... to become Streamkeepers.
